These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Dabei mobile application and this website (together, the "Service"), operated by Dabei. By downloading, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account and use Dabei. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate.

You may create an account using Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. Notify us immediately at info@dabeiapp.de if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

Business and channel accounts are managed with a separate email and password account provided by Dabei. These credentials are personal to the organisation they were issued to and may not be shared with or transferred to third parties.

Dabei helps you discover nearby events, create your own events, meet new people, chat with other users (including photos, videos, and voice notes), follow channels, and explore your city. Features may be added, changed, or removed at any time as we continue to develop the Service.

Dabei Business. Businesses may register a business account and publish their own events according to the plan they have activated with Dabei. Businesses are responsible for the accuracy and legality of the events and information they publish, and must comply with these Terms.

Channels are pages for content creators, venues, museums, institutions, and city councils. Dabei creates and assigns channels at its own discretion — there is no public sign-up — and may modify, suspend, or withdraw a channel at any time, in particular if the channel or its content breaches these Terms or if the collaboration ends. Being assigned a channel gives you a right to use it under these Terms, not ownership of it.

If you manage a channel, you access it with the account credentials Dabei provides, you must keep them secure, and you are responsible for everything published from that channel: the accuracy, legality, and appropriateness of your channel profile and of the events you publish, and for holding the rights to the images and other content you upload. You may not use a channel to impersonate an organisation you do not represent, to publish advertising unrelated to an event, or to contact your followers for purposes other than your channel's activity. Channels and their content are subject to the same reporting and moderation process as any other content (section 7).

Users may follow and unfollow channels freely. A channel may publish events with followers-only visibility, which are shown only to users who follow that channel at that time. Followers-only visibility is a discovery setting, not a confidentiality guarantee: we cannot prevent a follower from sharing what they see, so do not use it for information that must remain secret. Dabei does not guarantee any level of reach, follower count, or visibility for a channel or its events.

You retain ownership of the content you create, including events, messages, photos, videos, and voice notes ("User Content"). By posting User Content, you grant Dabei a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, and display that content solely to operate and provide the Service.

You are solely responsible for the User Content you post and for ensuring it does not violate these Terms or any applicable law.

Participants of a chat can save the photos and videos shared in that chat to their own device. Downloading content does not give you any rights over it. The person who created it keeps its ownership, and your permission to keep a copy is limited to your personal, private use within the context in which it was shared.

In particular, you may not republish, post on social media, sell, share with third parties, or otherwise redistribute photos, videos, or voice notes obtained from a chat without the explicit consent of the people who created and appear in them, and you may not use them to harass, expose, or embarrass anyone. Doing so may violate these Terms as well as copyright, image rights, and data protection law, and may lead to removal of your content and suspension of your account.

Keep in mind that once someone downloads content you shared, that copy leaves Dabei's systems: deleting the message, the event, or your account cannot remove copies already stored on other people's devices. Share only what you are comfortable with others keeping.

When using Dabei, you agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent event information.
• Harass, threaten, or harm other users.
• Impersonate any person or entity.
• Upload content that is unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit, or infringes on someone else's rights.
• Use the Service for spam, unauthorized advertising, or any commercial purpose we have not approved.
• Attempt to access, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the Service or its infrastructure.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules.

You can record and send voice notes in event chats and direct chats. The same rules apply to them as to any other message: do not send audio that is threatening, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, illegal, or that you do not have the right to send, and do not use voice notes for spam or unsolicited advertising.

Only record audio you are entitled to record. If other people can be heard in a voice note, make sure they agree to it being recorded and shared, and comply with the recording laws of your country. Voice notes are stored and delivered like other chat messages, can be reported by any participant, and may be removed and lead to account suspension if they breach these Terms. You are responsible for what you record and send.

Premium business accounts can broadcast live video in the chat of their events. When broadcasting you agree to respect attendees' privacy and not to stream illegal, violent, sexual, minor-endangering or otherwise inappropriate content. Broadcasts are not recorded, may have a maximum duration, and can be reported and moderated; we may end them or suspend the account if they violate these rules. You are responsible for what you broadcast and for having the necessary permissions of the people shown.

If you see an event, message, voice note, channel, or profile that violates these Terms, you can report it from within the app or by emailing info@dabeiapp.de with as much detail as possible (what you saw, when, and the user or event involved).

We review reports and may remove content, warn a user, suspend or withdraw a channel, or suspend or terminate an account at our discretion. We are not obligated to take a specific action in response to any report, but we take reports of harassment, safety concerns, and illegal content seriously.

Dabei facilitates connections between users, including in-person meetups and events. We do not screen or verify users or events beyond the account creation process. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users, on and off the platform. Always meet in public places, tell someone your plans, and use good judgment when meeting people from the Service.

Dabei is not responsible for the conduct of any user, online or offline, or for the outcome of any event you attend or host.

By using the Service, you consent to receive push notifications related to your activity (invitations, messages, and nearby events). If you manage a channel, you also receive notifications about your channel, such as new followers, users joining your events, and messages in the chat of your events. You can manage notification preferences from your device settings at any time.

The Service relies on third-party providers, including Apple, Google, and Supabase, to operate features such as authentication, notifications, and data storage. Your use of those features is also subject to the relevant third party's own terms and privacy policies.

The Dabei name, logo, and app design are the property of Dabei. Except for User Content, all content and software that make up the Service are protected by intellectual property laws and may not be copied, modified, or distributed without permission.

If you believe content posted on Dabei infringes your copyright, send a notice to info@dabeiapp.de including: identification of the copyrighted work, identification of the material you claim is infringing and its location in the Service, your contact information, and a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized. We will review valid notices and remove infringing content where appropriate.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your account at any time by contacting info@dabeiapp.de.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that events listed by users are accurate or safe.

You agree to indemnify and hold Dabei harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your User Content, your violation of these Terms, or your interactions with other users, including any in-person meetings or events.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dabei shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including damages resulting from interactions with other users or events discovered through the app.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, where Dabei is established, without regard to conflict of law principles, and without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have under the laws of your country of residence. Dabei operates in Germany, Spain, Luxembourg and Colombia and may add further locations over time.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post any changes on this page and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
