Delete your account & data

You can delete your Dabei account directly from the app at any time:

Open Dabei → Menu / Profile → Delete account, then confirm. This permanently removes your account and associated personal data.

If you cannot access the app, email support@dabeiapp.de from the email address linked to your account, with the subject "Delete my account". We verify the request before deleting.

When your account is deleted, we remove:

• Your profile (display name, photo) and login credentials.
• Your chat messages and the photos/videos you uploaded.
• Your push notification tokens and device identifiers.
• Your phone number and contact-match data (if you added them).
• Your business profile and its data, if you had one.

Events you created that have other participants are anonymized (your name is removed) rather than deleted, so other attendees do not lose their plans.

We only keep the minimum required by law (for example, records needed for legal or accounting obligations), and any anonymized data that can no longer be linked to you. We never keep your personal data for advertising — Dabei does not use advertising or sell data.

Deletion is completed within 30 days of a verified request. Backups are overwritten on their normal rotation cycle.

You do not have to delete your whole account to remove specific data. From the app you can delete individual events, remove chat photos, turn off phone-number discovery, or revoke location, contacts, camera and microphone permissions in your device settings.
